American Equipment Crane Operator school

This industry requires hours of practice in the field and thorough knowledge of crane operation, repairs, safety, and inspection. Therefore, American Equipment proudly offers crane operator training services, testing, and certification. We provide extensive crane training courses that cover all the necessary objectives and are constantly being improved to match the industry’s best practices. Our crane operator course list includes options for both overhead and mobile crane operation. All our trainers are NCCCO certified crane operators with extensive field experience. They bring their real-world experience into the classroom, providing a better learning environment for students.

Courses are available as full-day or half-day training sessions, with an average class size of 10. You can use your own facilities or train at any American Equipment location. The cost for the course is $250 per person.

MEETING THE STANDARDS YOU NEED

The training courses we provide meet ASME Standard B30-2.3.1.1. This national standard from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers covers proper safety procedures for the use of overhead and gantry cranes. Operators who complete these courses will be qualified to use this equipment in construction and industrial environments.

Overhead Bridge Crane Repair Training

This course is designed for crane technicians who are currently or have been previously employed to work on overhead electric bridge cranes. We cover the major aspect of bridge cranes, electronics, motors, variable frequency drives, encoders, connections and circuit diagnostics, brakes, and wire ropes.

Course highlights include:

Upon successful course completion, students will receive their overhead bridge crane certification for repair work.

Overhead Bridge Crane Inspector Training

This course is designed for technicians who are currently or have been previously employed to work on overhead electric bridge cranes. This course is intended to teach the technician overhead crane inspection standards and the ability to look up any inspection criteria.

The students will gain competence in:

Upon successful completion of the course students will receive a certification card. Certification is valid for a period of two years. Re-certification is required per CMAA Spec 78 2.2.4.2. Please contact American Equipment for re-certification information.

The Training Department here at American Equipment takes pride in what we do. Our trainers have many years of practical field experience. This experience is shown throughout their training, which gives the information taught more credibility and functionality. Classes are very interactive with props on par with the course topic. Additionally, examples of why certain issues happen and how to prevent them are an integral part of the class as well.
